The book La Brecha entre América Latina y Estados Unidos. Determinantes políticos e institucionales del desarrollo económico was presented in Mexico City on April 16, 2007. The event was held in the Raúl Baillères Auditorium at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).

The presentation was made by Rafael Fernández de Castro, Enrique Krauze, Jorge I. Domínguez, Roberto Russell, and Francis Fukuyama, who edited the book.
